At an elite wellness retreat, a struggling yoga teacher is offered a place inside a world that seems to have everything: certainty, access, belonging, and a machine designed to deliver enlightenment.
But the deeper he moves into the retreat, the harder it becomes to tell where practice ends and persuasion begins.
The Yoga Project is an immersive live performance blending theatre, movement, music, and visual projections. Audiences enter a world shaped by the language of healing, optimization, and transcendence—then watch that language bend under the pressure of money, charisma, and control.
What begins as a darkly funny collision between spiritual practice and luxury wellness gradually becomes an investigation into influence: why we surrender, whom we trust, and how easily the desire for transformation can become a willingness to give away our agency.
Created by Dan Ward, the work draws on decades inside yoga culture while remaining accessible to anyone who has ever wanted a person, practice, or system to provide the answers.
